HOW DOES THE CLUB WORK?

As a Member, your free "Bronze Level" Membership entitles you to a:-

Free subscription to the "2nd-Hand Computer Items List"

Which includes a Virus Warning Section

Plus other useful e-Mailings - for example, in December 1999 we emailed out a Free
Millennium Bug Test Programme

Every Sunday, we will email you the latest version of the list.  The list contains details of 2nd-Hand Computer items for sale by Club Members as well as any wanted items.

Here is an example of what one of the
"WE WANT TO SELL" listings will look like:

LINE1:    14" SVGA MONITOR
LINE2:    Good Clean Condition
LINE3:    £20.00 ono
LINE4:    burtywerty@emailmenow.co.uk
or Tel: 01952 123456 - Burt (Telford)

Line 1 is the name of the item for sale; Line 2 for any details about the item; Line 3 is for the asking price (if price is followed by "ono" this stands for OR NEAREST OFFER which indicates that the seller is open to offers at around this price; and Line 4 details how you can contact the Club Member wishing to sell the item, usually their email address (plus a Tel No. [optional] ) their first name and the area in which they live, is in brackets.

The majority of contact details will be in the form of seller's email addresses - you can click on the blue underlined address and your email programme should open up giving you a blank email to fill in and send to the seller so that you can offer to buy their item.

HOW DO I BUY ITEMS FROM THE LIST?

If you would like to buy an item, send the seller an email with your contact details, do not forget to tell the seller what item your are offering to buy and that you are willing to pay the asking price or if "ono" was present in the seller's advert - that you would like to buy it and you are willing to offer this much for it. If the advert has a Tel No. you may prefer to telephone the Seller instead.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER I HAVE SENT THE SELLER MY OFFER BY EMAIL?

If there is a lot of interest in a particular item for sale, the seller will have most probably received several emails from Club Members wishing to buy the item.  The "twosco.club Guidelines to 2nd-Hand Sellers and Buyers" says that if the seller receives several offers for the item - they should act on the "first come, first served" principle. This means in practice that they should sell the item to the first person that emailed them, who offered the price nearest to the asking price. If the seller does not contact you, you should consider that the item was sold to another Club Member and you should continue looking through future lists.

HOW DO I ADD ITEMS TO THE LIST THAT I WANT TO SELL OR THAT I WANT TO BUY?

The quickest and easiest way to create an advert is to complete our Advert Creation Form on this website. Click this: Free Advert Creator

Your advert will be included in the list for up to 6 months or until it sells, you withdraw the advert or we withdraw the advert for some reason.

(If you wish to place a Wanted advert - only Advert Lines 1 and 4 are needed)

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I HAVE SENT YOU MY ADVERT?

Once we have received your advert, we will email you a confirmation notice and a copy of the "twosco.club Guidelines for 2nd-Hand Sellers and Buyers".The Guidelines say for example that you agree only to offer items for 2nd-Hand sale that are in working order unless otherwise stated.

You will have to agree with the Guidelines to have your advert placed and unless you notify us ASAP to say otherwise, it will be assumed that you agree with and accept the Guidelines.

CAN I MODIFY MY ADVERT ONCE THEY ARE IN THE LIST?

Yes, once your advert is in the list you may alter any part. You may want to reduce the price if your advert is getting little response or you may like to add "ono" after your existing price to see if this will encourage offers. Just send us your modifications in an email and will be make the necessary alterations. If possible, cut & paste your advert in to the email you send to us and show the alterations you want making. Otherwise, make sure you mention which adverts needs altering.

SOME OTHER THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

twosco provides this as a free service but accepts no liability whatsoever as to the
condition or otherwise of the items on offer.

Any Transactions/Agreements are between the Seller and the Buyer and not between the Seller and twosco, the Buyer and twosco or any other configuration.

There is no warranty on any items in the list, unless expressed in the advert.  The adverts in the list are just like those you would see in a Classifieds section in a newspaper; "sold as seen"
